Karen Hardy (voiceover) They told me I could be anything I wanted when I grew up.
The scene opens on darkness, the only connection the viewer has to the speaker being her voice.
Karen Hardy (voiceover) They said I could be an actress, or a model, or if I waited long enough, the president. They told me I was beautiful, that I could have any guy I wanted, that I wouldn't have to work a day in my life if I played my cards right.
The visual part of this production fades in and we see that Karen Hardy is speaking over a video of herself in a gym somewhere. Those that follow her on Twitter will know that this is old, because she is not nearly as big in this shot as she is in her current photos.
Karen Hardy (voiceover) Well I didn't see the point in all that. I was always taught that nothing worth having was easily gotten, so why should I aspire for something I could easily get by doing nothing? No, I wanted something more, something I couldn’t get just by batting my eyes at the right dick.
Well, I think you can probably figure out what that is.
The visual cuts away from the stock footage of Karen working out and goes to her sitting on a bench press bench in the present, one leg on either side as she looks directly at the camera. She’s wearing similar workout attire to what was in the old video, but it looks a little smaller on her these days.
Karen Hardy I don't look like this because I woke up one day, decided this is what I wanted, and took a magic pill to make it happen. I wasn't sure at first what I was going to do, but I knew I didn't want to be just another pretty girl. After all, if you've got enough money, that IS something you can buy. No, my destiny was something different, something extraordinary.
I think flying to Germany to make your pro wrestling debut at the age of 23 is pretty extraordinary.
Thank god she sorted out her passport before signing with anybody.
Karen Hardy I don’t know how much my opponent has wrestled. I assume he’s wrestled more than me, for all that says, but I’m willing to bet he hasn’t run across an opponent like me before. I don’t mean a rookie, I’m sure he’s wrestled a few of those before. I don’t mean a wrestler bigger than him either, because in this day and age, wrestlers are usually much larger than Gio. But I bet he hasn’t wrestled a woman bigger than him before.
If so, I just want to assure you that everything will be okay. I have had a lifetime, albeit a short one, of practice dealing with guys that are shorter than me, and I’m confident we will still have a good, competitive match with each other with minimal embarrassment for either party. I mean, one of us will lose, and that will certainly be embarrassing, but I think otherwise we will have a good time.
But, with that all being said...I think you’re bringing a knife to a gun fight.
To punctuate her point, she treats the PANGAEA audience to a gun show, so to speak. Karen doesn’t bother hiding the look of pleasure on her face; she’s worked long and hard to get them, she’s glad she did, and she wants everyone to know it.
Karen Hardy These bad boys are only gonna’ get bigger as the years go on, but you get to be the very first person to feel the power. Of course I have to catch you, and from what little I have seen, I don’t think that’s going to be easy, but I’m pretty confident that once I have caught you, you won’t be able to break away again. After that, all that remains is the Hard Landing and a successful debut for me.
Karen lowers her arms, planting them on the bench again as she leans forward, still beaming as she gazes into the camera.
Karen Hardy Either way, I’m excited for our match. We’re only in the preshow, but we should tear the house down anyway. That way, no matter who wins, we can give the guys and gals in the World War Tournament something to be scared of once it’s over with.
I mean, I’m going to tear down the house with or without your help.
Karen leans forward a little more, which makes the muscles in her arms tense up, makes them that little bit more noticeable.
Karen Hardy I think I can handle it.
She holds this pose and keeps her eyes on the camera as the scene fades out.

Cuore Di Un Leone(heart of a lion)by Giovanni Moriello
The sounds of groans reverberated through the room as the cameras faded into the dimly lit scene, the only thing keeping the scene a light was the moonlight which shone through the mini-blinds. The camera panned around the room, which was of reasonable size - not big however not too small. With numerous gym equipment scattered around the room, it was evident that the crew were located in some sort of gym. It wasn't like any normal gym with numerous people using the machines and weights. This gym only had one man situated in the corner of the room by the punching bags, groaning loud as he connected hard with the punching bags.
"They used to tell me that I was never going to make it."
The man said who was situated in the corner of the room, which gained the attention of the camera crew who panned the camera towards the man, who had now increased the intensity of his work out - however still continued to speak.
"I was too small they used to say. If I was going to step into that four sided ring, I was bound to get stepped on, chewed up and spat down to the hard cold concrete. They told me I should find another profession."
He had now reached his optimum, alternating between kicks and punches against the bag. Suddenly the man stopped indicating that the man had reached his absolute optimum and it was the end of his workout. He turned toward the camera and sweat slivered down his face. He was young, you could tell from just looking at him - around his early twenties.
"Heck. I don't blame em. Look at me. I'm not the biggest man and that's pretty evident. I can't bench what everyone else benches when they go to the gym.
I'm not one of those goes who is excessively having protein shakes and flexing his muscles in front of women, whenever they get the chance. I'm not the strongest. But I'll tell you what I do have. I have a lions heart."
The man nodded his head before continuing.
"And believe it or not, heart will get you a long way in this business. You've got to have heart in order to reach the top of this profession. But I acknowledge you've got to have ability, and skill to match that. Whilst I lack in power and strength - I have speed and agility at my advantage. I have an arsenal of maneuvers which I managed to enhanced as I've traveled all over the globe, picking up new things and adding them to my arsenal.
My career hasn't been as illustrious as others but then again, I'm relatively new to the world of wrestling. I haven't won many championships, only two. I haven't faced any big time athletes, only two. But whilst traveling the globe I have learned a lot.
I've been in the presence of some of the greatest athletes in the world and I've watched them and I've learned. I merely observed them perfecting their arts. And with their arts, I enhanced my own. And now, I'm going to bring my knowledge and my game to Pangaea."
He paused, contemplating what to say next before continuing.
"My first opponent is also new to Pangaea and her name is Karen Hardy."
Beginning to make movement, he left the corner near the punch bags and walked over to the lockers. Rummaging through he still continued to talk to the cameras, which were fixated on him.
"First impressions mean everything, right?
I mean if you lose your debut match, that isn't a good sign. People label you as weak, not capable and immediately write you off as a 'mediocre' athlete, and I hate mediocrity, believe me. So losing this match against Karen Hardy is not an option.
I'm sure she doesn't want to lose this match for the same reasons that I don't want to lose this match. She wants this bad. We want victories out of this match because we have so much to prove, so much to offer and so much to show. And the question is, who wants it more?"
Finally he pulled his bag out of his locker and turned toward the camera, throwing his bag over his shoulder so he was now one strapping his backpack.
"Now I've heard what Karen Hardy has had to say about our forthcoming match and I agree with her, this will be a very competitive match. As I said, we both have a lot to prove and a lot to display. But Ms Hardy, let me tell you something about myself. I'm what they call an advocate of chaos. Meaning, I'm prepared to do anything for a victory. And when I say anything, I mean everything. It doesn't matter whether you're bigger than me or not.
It doesn't matter whether you're a male or a female. Nothing like that matters in my book. The only thing that matters is who is going to get the pin-fall or submission at the end of the match, and that can go to anyone regardless of their size, their gender or anything. I want this bad, Ms Hardy. But I'm sure you already know that.
But I'm certain you don't know the lengths I'm prepared to go to secure that victory. People have me down as a good boy who plays by the rules. Let me tell you now - I ain't no goodie-too-shoes. That shit will get you eaten alive, from where I come from. I bid you good luck in our forthcoming match, Ms Hardy. Because you're going to need it."
And with that said, Giovanni walked out of the way of the shot and towards the door, and then the scene faded to black. Finished Promo: Sunday 17 May, 2015
